Coming on to the thread to flame is not constructive or appropriate. Additionally, you've brought in a lot of off-topic content. If you are going to participate in the discussion, you need to stay on topic and stop with the inflammatory comments.

I've just re-read them and the first time what I noticed was bad language, my bad - and so it seemed to be a negative light. I see now that they were supportive. Still, we know that images can be photo shopped (and I'm NOT saying you did that), so I think it is best to not move into a discussion that relies on screenshots.

If another thread is made to discuss how to improve the stickied community threads, I think that it would be helpful if newcomers expressed their opinions on that thread (instead of using second-hand screenshots).

Uhm. Hi o/

I'm new to runescape, but not quite so to roleplaying, and before I dive in, I would love to have answers to a few questions. Basically stuff that my character, having lived in this world should or should not know about, even if it's only a TL: DR.

That is, if you don't mind.

I mean there's this awesome guide about roleplay developments already, but yeah, most of it goes plain over my head, simply due to lack of knowledge of lore, and yeah, lack of knowledge of lore in general. That will be remedied in time, I'm sure (as I'm already reading everything I can get my hands on), but at this point I don't know what my character (having just 'graduated' from being a farmer would or would not have heard about) >.<

For example, I'm aware of the 'Saradomin is seen as good, Zamorak is seen as bad' part, and she would, due to personality, probably ascribe to the teachings of Guthix (with believing herself to be slightly leaning to Saradomin, due to bias, but actually would find herself drawn more to Chaos instead). But yeah, apparently Guthix has died? Would she have heard of that, or, having been a simple farmer, would she be ignorant to that fact?

These are just a few of many questions, and it would be amazing if someone would be willing to take the time to answer them >.<

Hi, Victoria! Guthix's death is public and known (the event is what ended the Fifth Age and introduced us to the Sixth), but that doesn't stop people from subscribing to his teachings! It would probably be a good idea to not say that you worship Guthix IC, though, because one of his dying wishes was for people to forget him. Instead of a religion, it could be a moral code! The replacement for Guthixianism is Godlessness, the belief that no gods deserve a place on Gielinor and that their presence really just mucks everything up. I ask this delicately, for I don't want to cause trouble, but is the community even still 'alive' on world 42? I've seen several things in the past two days of lurking (both in forums and in-game) that allude to a severe breakdown from what things were years and years ago.

I applied to a role-play yesterday... but after reading the last two pages on this forum and the signs I've seen, I am wondering if it's worth it to come back? Do people still find enjoyment from role-play?

Again, I'm not trying to stir up trouble, I just don't want to invest myself in something if it's.... dead.
