Introduction

The Lansing saga continues with another hasty succession, brought along by the disappearance of King James. Varrock is running rampant with crime as gangs ease control over the slums, zealots brawl in the city streets, and nobles chastise one another over crown favor. The southern duchy and woodland outskirts are plagued by the occasional banditry and members of the farming elite petition to the crown for protection. A legacy of admiration from the people is perhaps the only thing stopping any hints of revolt as the royal family continue to immerse themselves into the lives of their subjects. But will that be enough to pacify ambitious lords and unruly dissenters?...
