Mamoru was taught to follow Guthix at a young age, when his parents stopped following Guthix Mamoru decided to do the same, though he was not happy with doing so. After wanting to do more and improve his skills Mamoru searched for a reason to fight and found the godless faction, knowing that they respected the teachings of Guthix he decided he wanted to join.
