Just like with a Player Owned Kingdom, the NPC leadership has been changed to fit the narrative of a player governed roleplay world.

I'm all for keeping the things within the group active, and I welcome even people who aren't even going to roleplay with us to just help write interesting stuff for those that just want to RP.

Interacting and acknowledging other people's characters is what I think makes W42 fun. I'm well aware we don't all share that. More on that later.

I don't mind you wanting to use my house purely for backstory as you see fit, asking is appreciated and also gives me a chance to add you to the family tree.

The Situation in Darkmeyer
¸¸,•*°•,¸|


Darkmeyer is still an impenetrable, human unfriendly, vampyre infested city of horror.
To give you an idea with how things are going here from an In-Character perspective:




The family in charge is that of House Lafeith.
Everyone in the city would know them as the cities benevolent rulers and respects them for their works done for Darkmeyer. Their leader is known to be humble and approachable, as he moves things forth for a more progressive Darkmeyer, for vyres.




The conditions in Meiyerditch are improving.
Forcing tithes is a thing of the past in Darkmeyer. Vampyres and humans live along one another without the former hostile attitude from the vampyre population. Humans can be offered jobs for rewards that would be of their benefit. Change however is still going at a slow pace.


Darkmeyer is still heavily hierarchical.
Ranks, titles, even your very race will have effect on how you are treated by the vampyres. Werewolves however, enjoy the privilege of being allowed to settle in the lower areas of Darkmeyer and having traders allowed in the higher district upon invitation.


Tithing stations are now set up all over Darkmeyer
, which people can visit in order for rewards to improve their living conditions. In rare occasions, humans are presented with the offer of becoming a vampyre themselves. This will never be forced .

House Lafeith of Darkmeyer

For people wanting to be related to the ruling family, the Lafeith, you are welcome to. All I am asking for if you make someone related, or even a family friend from years back, is that you stick to some of the shared backstory I’ll put down here and come talk to me beforehand. Here’s your background to work with.


They were once humans.

The Lafeith are an old family from the 4th age, coming over here from Avarrocka wanting to settle in Silvarea , not knowing the condition it was in, thinking they were just stories. Their caravan, which included family members and friends , met a terrible fate when they arrived. The parents never moved with them.

Turned and assimilated into the ranks of the vampyres.

House Lafeith soon climbed the ranks and continued to contribute to Drakan’s big war. Their humanity slowly fading, the olderer they got. Eventually even sending their own, leaders included, to fight in the name of the vampyres.



The great war Drakan forsaw was a heavy toll on the Lafeith.

The six proved too much for the vampyres and when the head of the house’s wife died in battle, he made the call to back out. Beaten and heavily crippled the house retreated back to Darkmeyer and the house mourned the loss of a grandmother, a mother and a loving wife.

Back from the shadows now the rest of Morytania is showing signs of life,

the Lafeith have asserted them in a favourable position of high ranking nobility. The head of the House Nimuel is making sure Darkmeyer remains a paradise for vampyres. The family enjoys the many privileges that come with the jobs they perform, but are all hard working vyres for their city .

Basically, you get plenty of options to be involved, all I am doing is presenting you with some ideas for a character application. If you feel the need to add more or see something not suggested, just ask. You can also join as someone who just helps to write stuff for the group itself but doesn't necessarily can or wants to join in-game.
