The Senes*hal had finally appeared from his study after a few days of abscence, holding a nail, a piece of paper and a hammer. On to the noticeboard was where he nailed the paper, which was two seperate columns each containing a list of names. The left column contained the names of students, and the right column contained the names of the slayer masters to which they had been assigned. At the bottom of the paper was a small note and a signature.

Eyeing the notice posted by the Grandmaster, Comrade sniffed slightly as he noted his master to report to. He'd never spoken to The Wotan, always having stayed clear when 'he' wandered through the Guild lest Comrade accidentally cut himself on all the edge The Wotan was rocking. Making a mental note to speak with this ever hidden individual, Comrade shifted his gaze to the
Contract Board
. After dealing with those zombies, it was time to take a new one, and, until those rumors of a party forming up to deal with the dragon were confirmed, he chose something easy and from his new slayer master. Imps were about the same size as a penguin, right?

((So, here's an IC character submission. Enjoy.))

Name: Well, to start with, my name is Ama. Just Ama, please.

Age: Isn't it rude to ask a lady her age? To be completely honest, I haven't really kept track. Stopped counting at around 50.

Race: I am part human, from my mother's side, however, from my father's side, I am a small part what you call Icyene. It is actually quite noticeable if you know what to look for.

Appearance: Well, to start with, I am 6'3. Few have seen what I wear under my armor, and very few will, so it is just as well that you request that I describe myself. My skin color is pretty pale. I don't get much sunlight under my armor, but it does not dull my skills. My hair color is black, and my eyes are a piercing blue color. On the left side of my face, down my neck, across a large portion of my torso, and on my arm, I have a great burn mark from my past. I think that this covers it.

Role (Master, student, freelance slayer): I was hoping to employ myself as a student. I am experienced, but my skills can never stop being honed, but of course, feel free to assign me as you want.

Country of origin: The Eastern Continent is my home land.

Preferred combat method: I am very capable in all styles of combat, but my preferred remains to be Melee enhanced by Magic.

Experience: I have been killing beasts since I was 17.

P.S. I am not very talkative off of paper.

The slayer sealed the paper and handed it to Postie Pete, who still looked quite nervous at her presence. "Take this to Baergon Keystrom." she said with a metalic tone in her voice. The skull placed the letter in his bag, and teleported off. The slayer then sat down and awaited the reply.

Kind'a weird. Been playing a slayer for a long time, have always seen slayers as having no central head but more of a congregation of Slayer Masters who have an ounce of their own leadership. So being told that the slayers suddenly have a "Grandmaster" out of right field that my characters are meant to be subjugates of feels a bit off. I have eaten

I agree with both of you actually. The position isn't meant to be in-charge of any of the other Slayer Masters or Slayers. It is there to guide students and assign contracts, just as the other Slayer Masters do.

The term 'Grandmaster' is simply there for lack of a better word. He is basically there to run the guild by making sure contracts are posted, making sure students know what's going on, and liaising with associates to bring in extra contracts. Again, he doesn't instruct or command any of his fellow slayer's, he is just kind of there to ensure the physical guild is running smoothly.

Sorry if this wasn't clear. If you've any other suggestions for the name of the position, I would be very open to them. This isn't meant to be something where one person is in charge of others, I want it to be something where individuals each have their own authority. I like slayer RP, and I want more of it, and this is a way to make that happen. Hopefully I've cleared this up.

That's actually not nearly as bad, if he's just someone who watches over some responsibilities. I think "Grandmaster" is a bit extravagant, and will now give suggestions.

(Slayer-Liaison and 'Majordomo' are my favorite. Followed closely Senes*hal, but it seems that the forums want to mute that. Also Steve From Accounting is good. I think these titles stress the importance of his role, without placing him 'above' the Slayer Masters on an IC level.)
