A courier pigeon came flying to one of the mail distributors in Ardougne. It was quite pudgy looking, indicating it was being overfed by its owner. It had a vest on with a little container on the back of it. Inside of it would be a compact written letter, address to Percival Damocles Mox.

To Percival Damocles Mox, the King Apparent of Kandarin,


It took some time for the news to reach my arc in the Eastern Lands, but there it was. Kandarin being a place of political turmoil and war has never been beneficial for the people at the bottom of society; crops were destroyed, grain prices went through the roof and looting in the city has occurred. The impoverished have not chosen these outcomes, their choices were made for them. It is why I have taken upon me the task of providing those of running risk of malnourishment with food and supplies for the coming winter months ahead. Hopefully this will not be seen as intrusion in your jurisdiction.


Friends, family and my close allies have all at some point spoken of their concern for my choices of trusting people. I should have listened more to the stories told to me about the former rulers. You, Percival, found not only a reason but also a means to dispose of the Vekon family in Kandarin. I would be delighted if you and I could have a meeting during my brief stay in the city of Ardougne. I’m very curious to what your ideals and plans are in regards to Kandarin, why the Vekon family was an obstacle to this and I hope to again maintain a good relationship with the kingdom so that I can continue my patronage to those in need unhindered.

I will be staying at the Flying Horse Inn and I hope to hear from you soon,

While the dull mass of the Cult's main horde is still making its slow stumbling way through the icy passes of White Wolf Mountain to take up their positions for the assault, the Cult has opted to put together a small strike force to make a first strike upon the port town of Catherby. The strike force is mainly comprised of a handful of cultists and their undead allies but they have also found a surprising way to bring some artillery to bare. Depsite best efforts to hide it, several reports would come out of the northern border of the kingdom. Several woodsman, travelers and solitary settlers would have spoken of seeing two strange figures clashing in the woods on various nights. Two great wizards perhaps as the rumored sightings speak of immense and bright spellwork.



Were any to investigate, they would find evidence of scorched glades, fallen trees and shattered rocks. Wildlife drained of their anima, and the discarded carcasses baking in the sun. Whatever was afoot, was far from normal. But as quickly as they had begun, the rumors would have ceased traveling south into the city. No one ever went missing, and the worst harm that came to anyone, seemed to be a fear of going out into the deep woods after nightfall.

Quick bullet point update on recent events.

• The Coronation of Percival Mox has been delayed, because of UK politics of all reasons! For those who are unaware, the UK looks set to have a Snap Election called in the coming days, and I won’t have the Coronation on the same day that people are expected to be out late to cast their vote. Once a date is declared, or the motion to call an election fails in parliament, I’ll announce a date and time for the coronation.

• The “Let Battle Commence” event had to be delayed this week because someone couldn’t count. Derp. Expect that to be rescheduled for sometime this coming week.

• For those who might be confused or misled by recent events, the Kingdom of Kandarin maintains its position that Runekian’s Kingdom of Misthalin is the only legitimate Misthalin POK. Until such a time Runekian willingly hands over control to another individual or party, all other claims are considered invalid and their actions considered to have never happened at all.

Description: Following a four-month run from the law, Viktor has the gaul to come before King Percival himself and "surrender". Surrounded by the palace's guards, the Zamorakian beseeches the king of a looming disaster buried beneath the land of Kandarin, left behind by past interlopers. He offers a chance at defeating it, but only in exchange for a full pardon for his crimes...

Firstly, this is our 200th post. Woo! Second, there have been some major developments I want to address.

• I am happy to announce that Klitty shall be filling the Duchy of Norwasten in the near future. This leaves only the Duchy of the Crownlands, which in turn who is also the heir to the throne, vacant. I am currently open for people to apply for the role, as Kandarin is always open for people to join.

• With the announcement of the Extended DXP Weekend, my planned date for The Coronation of Percival Mox has been struck off. Between that, the UK General Election and the impending holiday season, I have taken the difficult position of postponing it until early 2020.

• Lord Pyro has been formally dismissed from the Kingdom of Kandarin. This has been a difficult decision to make, but it was evident that his viewpoints on the handling of sensitive issues were not compatible with my own, and that a compromise was not possible. As such, plans to integrate his Xau-Tak storyline have been scrapped.

• I, myself, am restructuring our internal organisation to better reflect what I want Kandarin to be: An open, inviting Player-Owned Kingdom that is not dominated by OOC "politics". Most of what this entails is not really of interest to the public domain, but it will see the posting of our position here on the forums taken away from my administrators: If you want my viewpoint, you come to me directly.

• RiDaku and Runekian will also be greatly withdrawing their influence on the direction of this group to focus more on their own projects, though they both remain members of the POK. I am fully aware many of you have been put off from participating with us by their presence. This is coming to an end. The direction of Kandarin is not dictated by them, and I won't let it get in the way of honest roleplay.
