The Council of the Kinshra
What - The council of the Kinshra consists of a variety of high ranking Kinshra members and their allies. It is they who determine who should become the next Kinshra leader, though in an emergency, the 2nd in command will take command until the council has time to reach a decision.
To become a member of the Council you must satisfy one of the following conditions:
Be Baron - Nuff said. This person gets 3 votes.
Be Married to the Baron - This is subject to conditions. Nuff said. This person gets 2 votes.
Reached the rank of Lord/Lady - This rank is bestowed upon individuals who have dedicated their entire lives to the Kinshra, those who reach the rank of commander are usually bestowed this if they live long enough to not die in battle. These members get 2 votes.
Be a descendant of a Lord/Lady - Provided the family wasn't expelled for treason, if a Lord dies his nearest living relative (provided they are dedicated to the Kinshra) shall take over. These people may have little to do with running the Kinshra but there family is still recognised as great contributors. These members get 2 votes.
Be a Financial Backer of the Kinshra - When the Kinshra was first created, it was financed by a group of wealthy merchants, it is because of these men we have the Kinshra today. The Kinshra like to reward those who pledge great amounts of gold, men or artillery into the Kinshra, these men and women must continuously provide said service for the Kinshra in order to maintain their seat on the council. Whether someone is worth a seat on the Kinshra is to be discussed by the Kinshra, but it tends to take a lot of support. These members get 1 vote.
Special Individuals - For some reason the council decided to give these people seats, this category represents those individuals who may have performed a service that the Kinshra cannot repay in gold. These members get 1 vote.
