I've been seeing some confusion about which PoKs fall under the public and private realms of influence in W42, so I hope to alleviate some of that confusion with this thread!

I will be providing two lists. One will list the currently acknowledged public player owned kingdoms , while the other list will mark down other non-public, or private player owned kingdoms. In addition I will lay out a few definitions for terms such as: public and private to make differentiating between a public and private roleplay in the future easier!

First off you have Public Roleplay .
One of Webster dictionary's definitions defines the word public as: "of, relating to, or affecting all the people"

Pairing the words Public and Roleplay together into Public Roleplay we can come to understand that a Public Roleplay community would be one that is inclusive to everybody. For those within this sphere, all of the goings on in public roleplay would pertain to everybody. In the case of World 42, being part of the public roleplay community, its members adhere to a particular set of rules, and respect the things that happen in the public sphere, be they good or bad.

For Private Roleplay :
In this case, just as above, there is an appropriate definition of the word private provided by Webster's dictionary, being: "unsuitable for public use or display".

Pairing the terms private and roleplay together into private roleplay, we could define "private roleplay" as being "not suitable for public roleplay", or an RP that does not follow the public chain of events, or any relative situation. People that prefer to be a part of the private sphere of roleplay do so for multiple reasons, the most notable being: Setting their own rules or lore, and RPing according to their own chain of events.

Private roleplays are not a bad thing, and in fact are a good alternative for those who find themselves uninterested in how things are going down in the public roleplay scene.

With those loose definitions in mind, look below for a separated list of Public and Private roleplays!

- Ardougne. - Vekon
- Kandarin - HC Tervuren
- Craven Company/Karamja - Me/Kdf-Juan
- Elven lands - Adventurerrr
- Arenvale - Ovi the Aren

I'll add more as I find them!

Private player owned kingdoms.

- Any other Kandarin groups.
- Misthalin - Pyro
- Any other Asgarnia groups.

You and nobody else here has the authority to just judge and declare what RP groups should be public and private.

That would require an agreed upon land claim system here on the forums, and World 42 has not had an organised land-claim thread for many years. It's unlikely to spring up with the majority of the support required by ALL groups, regardless if you call them public or private.

Serov, you also have a blatantly obvious conflict of interest in the matter by elevating certain PoKs above others.
