Interregnum.

A word for a weak state.

For too long have the powers of outerlying kingdoms had their hands dipped in the coffers of our kingdom and trampled the virtues of the Donblas. Without a King or Queen to rule Asgarnia, we are left to decide that for ourselves. But who would rule this kingdom?

Kandar troops march freely and uncontested throughout the land, annexing at their pleasure.

Republicans seek to undermine peace and prop up feeble and poorly gathered havens, masking their own ambitions.

A people in Asgarnia are left to fend for themselves. In light of such despair, the nobility of the land are called forth to select a new ruler, but not before we band together and rebuild this once triumphant nation.

Come and seat the Council of the Realm.

Welcome to the thread that will hopefully take precedent to the player-owned Kingdom of Asgarnia. From those of us still reminiscent of the days when Falador was packed nearly all day everyday with the wildest of entertainment hailing from the Rising Sun, we invite you to join the Council as a voice of the lands long forgotten.

The Asgarnian nobility are soon to be invited to partake in the Council of the Realm, an organized effort to elect a King or Queen of Asgarnia and bring stability and unity to the kingdom once more. This entire roleplay will be based out of the game and building on a fractured kingdom. The nobles vying to be selected as successors, factions and old families arising to assert their dominance, and potentially a war that will bring together Asgarnians and expel foreign conquerors from their lands.

We recognize that Saradomin has returned, but that he may not take interest with intervening in the squabbles of his own followers directly unless it pertains to another god contesting his influence.

We believe in the free exercise of unscripted and unmonitored roleplay within areas of Asgarnia. Plot twists are great. That isn't to say law and order can't be carried out in-character.

It's important that classes are distinguished when applying since nobility will fall under the Council of the Realm, the ruling figurehead of the Kingdom of Asgarnia until the election of a monarch. HIERARCHY

King or Queen of Asgarnia
: VACANT UNTIL ELECTION.

Council of the Realm
: The ruling council of Asgarnia. The council is chosen from the nobility as influential people within Asgarnia and many are expected to contend for the throne of the kingdom.

Nobility
: These are the upper crust of the cake in Asgarnia. The knights, baron's, lord's of all degrees, former royalty, and even clergy. Clergy are grouped into this social class as well.

Military
: These are the White Knights of Falador (we recognize the acting WKoF clan unless otherwise), the Asgarnian Militias, Guardsmen of respective provinces, and Mercenaries. There is currently no centralized military as that should be left to the future monarch of Asgarnia.

Commoners
: Commoners can be your everyday bar patron, merchant, tradesman, or wizard. .„¸¸,.·` |

EVENTS

Anyone and everyone can make an event in the Kingdom of Asgarnia, but if you'd like your plot to gain some attention- you may post it here as well. Most of the events will be centered around the atmosphere of the interregnum that the kingdom is facing.

Those who are contending for the Crown of Asgarnia, to be the next ruler of the kingdom, are highly encouraged to start creating events. You'll need to become more influential and build a power base if you intend to rule this kingdom. Those who wish to war or attack the kingdom may also use an events application to post their impending attack, provided there is in-character buildup and some form of communication with leadership about your attack.

The Holy Kandar Empire:
