Novtumber 2nd, Year 7 of the Sixth Age

Ships of what once resembled Fremennik make broke the sands of the shoreline around Anachronia at strategically advantageous points. What spilled from these ships could only be described as revenants for those old enough to remember, and a fresh nightmare for those that weren’t. Wicked cultists garbed in sturdy leathers, equipped with bows, wands and swords. They burst unto the land and rained horror upon the unfortunate folk that had tried to excavate the fringes of the island, silencing any that tried send warning towards the camps and settlements that had been erected. Among these pillagers and raiders walked one composed yet brutal monster from each, dressed in dark scaled hide and hidden beneath gnarled inhuman helms. They led these almost-feral warriors across the shorelines and then they all vanished into the woods.

One boat was landed with but one person inside of it. From this more ornate vessel stepped a figure clad in resplendent crimson armor with beautiful gold running along channels trimming the metal, a titanic figure standing well above any mere man and gripping a large halberd of the same design. Verdant green shone with malice beneath the glorious, enigmatic hood which cast a deep shadow over his face. The gold seemed to liquify and run along its channels, swirling over his figure as he raised his arms, and the forests before him erupted in to flames. A beacon not of hope or a call for aid, but that of disaster, of destruction. A signal calling to any that would answer it. Those that fell for the distraction found themselves felled before the colossal strength of this entity. The sands were stained a brilliant ruby not unlike this figure’s armor, and with most qualified warriors slain, the island was a ripe grounds for reclaiming.

Anachronia has fallen to the Worshippers of the Dragonkin.

OOC INTRODUCTION

Hello and welcome to the Worshippers of the Dragonkin! After years of sitting on a lot of information, blessings and drive to do something regarding this group, the recent developments following Orthen Digsite’s release has me too hyped to sit on it any longer. This is a roleplay group that will focus around re-colonizing Anachronia to the Worshipper faith and culture following an emigration from Daemonheim in pursuit of a much more rich landscape holding relics and images of their idols. It will deal in the nature of the Dragonkin and their history, uncovering deep secrets of their race and perhaps even tensions and struggles against the mainland Kingdoms, should those come about, as well as the fight against surviving encampments and rag-tag warriors that evaded detection during the initial assault. More to be written as I finish the thread!

STATE OF ANACHRONIA

Current Status
Freshly ransacked, corpses litter the earth and heretical settlements burn. The fringes of the island’s forestry is cinders and being tended to by persae to prevent too much of the lavish vegetation from catching and erupting into an uncontrollable wildfire. The Anachronia base camp is being cleaned out and refitted, and word of the island’s massacre has yet to reach the mainlands.

Religious Tolerance

Worshippers of the Dragonkin: Revurr ke Druhkokain

Guthix: The Balanced Idol

Following the death of Guthix, his followers chose to forsake all gods and instead push for the betterment of the planet and of the people upon it. The refusal to worship any is seen as marginally better than worshipping a heretical idol, however only barely.

Saradomin: The Idol of the Four Point Star
Zamorak: The Arched Idol
Armadyl: The Fleeting Idol
Zaros: The Enigmatic Idol
Seren: The Singing Idol
Bandos: The Grotesque Idol

HISTORY OF THE WORSHIPPERS

The Worshippers of the Dragonkin are a group that once plagued the entire west side of the River Salve. A tyrannical force of well-trained warriors devoted to wreaking destruction similar in nature to the Dragonkin, they famously conquered the Wilderness and used its harsh lands as a safe haven with which they could terrorize Misthalin and Asgarnia. Regarded initially as raiders and pillagers, they quickly became a nightmare on the battlefield and akin to the boogeyman, showing up in the night and burning villages down while dragging their occupants back to the Wilderness where they were forced in to slave labor. Any who were alive for the years the Worshippers were active would remember quite vividly the atrocities they committed, as well as the militant nature of their superiors. Most famously they had conquered Varrock and erected a large wall around the city to isolate it from the outside world, doing so with minimal losses.

The Worshippers are known for their collection and specialized use of dragonmetal, their hunting of dragons for ritualistic purposes, and their devout worship of the Dragonkin (of course). They are also known for their grand finale before seemingly vanishing from the face of the earth, a grand tournament where winners were able to collect prizes such as dragonmetal weaponry and dragonhide. During such an event, it was believed that the Worshippers had collapsed, disbanded, and their God-General died. However, the harrowing song throughout Forinthry some months ago called that in to question, and now that they've conquered Anachronia, a question begs to be asked. Did the Worshippers, and their leader, survive their own extinction event? Or is this a fraud, a very detailed falsehood meant to mask something much more sinister in nature?

OOC DISCLAIMER

Now as I’m sure as some of you reading this may be aware, the Worshippers of the Dragonkin was not my roleplay group. I do not lay claim to what they did before, nor do I pretend to be the same or even a direct continuation of them. The Kronesian as I play him is not the Kronesian that Spartae played regardless of all their similarities, and I have coordinated this with him years ago when I spoke to him about perhaps doing something like this. He’s given me resources and vital information to play a convincing copy of the Kronesian, such as that an IC difference will be entirely nonexistent, with differences appearing only in writing styles. Additionally, Spartae has long since released his claim on this group in the wake of 42’s decline and in the favor of creativity.

This roleplay will be open and available in various forms to both private and public roleplay groups, either as the island-conquering force that it is presented as, or as ragtag divisions lurking in the forests for those that prefer the presence of lore NPC's but would still like to experience my take on the Worshippers.
