Character Name:
Lady Serana Locke
Character Age:
24
Character Race:
Human
Character Description/History:
Born to Lord Vasco Locke, a minor Asgarnian noble, and Lilith Mael, one of the servants on his estate, Serana's birth was considered treachery to all who knew of it. Not only was her birth the result of a spontaneous bonding between high-born and low-born, but she was also a bastard, meaning that there would be no legitimate way for her to succeed her father was he to perish.
Despite this, her father and the servant continued to raise Serana as their own out of responsibility, until both separated from each-other a few years later. Unwilling to continue raising a child alone, Lord Vasco handed her off to the Citharede Abbey in Al Kharid, where she would spend the majority of her childhood and teenage years learning of their ways and revelling in the worship of St. Elspeth and Saradomin through song.
However, Serana craved action. A greater purpose. The blood of her father still coursed through her veins; blood that had seen many a war throughout its many generations, blood that seeped with ambition. At the age of 19, she left the Abbey, spending years on the road while learning to fight and survive in Gielnor, taking up jobs as a mercenary whenever she could.
It was sometime later that she finally returned home to discover that her father had died and that half of the estate had been passed down to her for lack of a closer successor; but not before finding out that she now had a half-sister who had, ironically, lay claim to the other half of Lord Vasco's holdings.
With new responsibilities in hand and a source of steady income in the form of the estate's farm, Serana was free to do as she pleased. Despite being a bastard, she still possessed noble blood, and as a result, decided to apply to join the White Knights in her search of her purpose.
“To hesitate is to fail. To fail is to disobey. How you complete your objective matters not; it is ultimately the final result that is of import. Results are the currency in which we deal, after all - the process is of little consideration.” .
