The Blackmarch winter reminds me much of the one in Northern Kandarin. The evergreens becoming heavy with snowfall and everywhere the eye can see is blanketed in snow.

Even this deadly snow has a beauty to it. With the first rays of the sun shining over the tip of Ice Mountain, one could almost fool themselves into thinking everything is normal, that we're meant to be here. They bring forth memories of Kandarin, of our lives before all this. The lives we all wish to return to.

It won't be the Asgarnians or the Kinshra that kills us. Nor the goblins or the trolls. It will be this winter. The camp will not survive an outbreak of the flu and already the chill is setting in once the sun dips down low. Do we make eastwards and dare to cross the Lum? Will the Misthalites allow us safe passage through their lines? Or more likely sell us to who ever has the most coin.

We must push westwards, back to Eastmarch. But this winter will do anything in it's power to stop us from returning home. The 4th can not march in these conditions, to break through the bush under these heavy storms. Do I risk the roads and march straight forward? Or to fortified our position and wait it out?

I fear it will be my indecision that will lead to all of our deaths. Myles

The Lost Legion focuses completely on the fighting group sent to Blackmarch under command of then King Jacob Delvair to defeat the Kinshra threat once and for all. Now with Falador being held by yet another King and deep within Kinshra territory, the roleplay will focus heavily on simply surviving and making it to the nearest friendly land.

This RP will have a mix of public fights and internal plots that will see either the Legion survive out of Blackmarch or will have their last stand surrounded by enemies.

As another OOC note, I saw the political drama in Asgarnia and saw a cool chance to tell a story about this group of soldiers now completely cut off from the Empire with only the simple goal to survive through the coming weeks. As obviously a number of sides will be hunting for the Imperial Kandars, I hope to make this a lot more than just another group to fight in Asgarnia.

The Fourth Legion; A narration

Out of all the Imperial Legions, the 4th is the youngest. Birthed from young men and woman all across the Empire, the Legion was based in Eastmarch upon the reconquest of the region. With officers taken from standing Noble Houses and other Legions.

Living life in the garrison, when the orders came down to march north for the Blackmarch region, it would be the first real combat that many of the Legion soldiers have seen. The command of the Legion was gifted to Imperial Family member, Viven Vekon which was to be her first military command outside of Kandarin.

With some dying on the long march northwards by traps and ambushes set by the Kinshra, the 4th finally made it to Silverhall to only find that their hell was starting. Forced to camp outside of the walls, a warcamp and trench was dug but already morale for the infant Legion was already dropping. Something more was at play.

The truth came to light upon the whole of Blackmarch declaring for the Kinshra. Set upon by both Kinshra and Silverhall milita in the dead of night, the 4th Legion was forced into a tactical retreat into the countryside. Taking heavy causalities from the surprise attack, the Legion became lost to the forest.

Now with their numbers near half of what they were, the Legion is doomed to die in a foreign land to an Empire that has seemingly forgotten them. Driven now solely by the will to survive, the 4th has taken to the forests and mountains. Myles

Uniform

The wealth of the Empire did not apply to the 4th. Having always suffered from supply issues and quickly formed in the first place, they were not outfitted in the same ways the other, older Legions were.

Legs: No higher than leather

Weaponry: Steel spear, iron shortsword, and wood square shield (Steel sq shield)

As the Roleplay moves forward, the quality of the equipment will lower as armor and weapons fall into disrepair and soldiers are forced to use what they have. Which means on a OOC level, you can mix and match as long as it fits to the theme. Myles

Information: With supplies dwindling more with each passing day, the Legate has ordered for a raiding party to be formed and to seek out the nearest hamlet for supplies. Timeline of Events

- With the Asgarnian winter setting in, Legate Viven Vekon is forced to employ more drastic measures to ensure the survival of the 4th. Ordering a low raid on a nearby hamlet, the legion is able to gain much needed supplies to make it through the first weeks of the winter. With the success of the raid, the Legate has ordered a larger attack on the same hamlet to capture the rest of the supplies within. Myles

Rules of Engagement

No bickering out of character. Take it to PM and tab over to private chat if you have to resolve your issues. You'll be asked to either a.) Carry the fight elsewhere in the city or b.) Leave the field altogether. Refusal to comply will result in a temporary ignore.

No autohitting. Absolutely do not tell your opponent how they respond to your attacks. Ensure that your attacks are attempts.
Example:
Correct Hit: *attempts to drag opponent to the ground.*
Incorrect Hit: *drags opponent to the ground.*

Play balanced characters, not gods. No overpowered characters permitted. This means we won't accept instances like Mahjarrat or Demons shifting to true form in the midst of battle and attempting to wipe out swathes of people. Apologies if that's an overwhelming inconvenience for you but it'd be nice if everyone had fun.

Character death. No one will be forced to accept the death of their character, but kills will be measured as NPC. For instance, if I kill Saint Goblin but he doesn't actually want his character to die, he can choose to be "carried from the field wounded" or make a similar excuse. My character will still acknowledge that a soldier (NPC) was killed either way. This is useful for those that tally up a kill count.

If caught in a crowded area, for the sake of us all and as a recommendation, please do not draw out your emotes into ten lines. Try to keep them at a maximum of three to five lines. Even one or two lines are appreciated. IF you want an intense fight with your opponent, we ask that you take the fight elsewhere other than the congested battlefield. Myles
