Cherie is Kandar born and young, but learned to teleport as some of her first magic. When the shattered worlds were discovered, she had her interest piqued as a diviner and law mage, seeking to learn to harvest this anima for experiments.

Adira has had a long, harsh history. From a young age, she was taken from her parents in Al-Kharid by the Mahjarrat Pyrrhus, forced into his servitude as he experimented his magic on human subjects. Surviving his malicious methods, he took her on as his apprentice and taught her ancient magics. She learned quickly and conspired with other colleagues until overthrowing their master at a Rejuvenation Ceremony, weakening him to the point that the other Mahjarrats present could sacrifice him.

A woman with her powers, she tried to find new allies. She found help in the Z.M.I, joining them through their front in a Varrock pub. She quickly rose through the ranks and officiated over the alliance between the then werewolf ruled Canifis and the Z.M.I. After making a trade deal, it was revealed to her that the Z.M.I., with some Vampyres, were going to attempt a coup to retake Canifis.

Contemplating her options, she left the Z.M.I. and revealed the plot, aiding in killing the conspirators. For her help, she was placed high among the werewolf regime, working with them until their collapse.

Without a home in Canifis, Adira went underground and fled to Falador. Using magic to change her appearance, a trick learned within the Z.M.I., she met a young White knight in the courtyard. Attempting to remain undercover, Adira would strike up a friendship with the knight, posing as an illiterate farm girl. The knight took her into her home and the two would develop feelings. The knight would take Adira under her wing as a Squire, all the while Adira planned to infiltrate the White Knights from within. She managed to be knighted before, during the Pirate Invasions of Port Sarim, she accidentally revealed herself when saving a fellow knight. She was then 'executed' and left to die. Using her powers, she escaped and again fell into obscuri
