After some time, the floating fetal figure would stir and begin to move. This seemed to coincide with the first local that had the bravado to approach. The scene that followed spread like wildfire throughout the island. The stone giant raised to stand, and regarded the local tribesmen with curiosity, offering out a hand. As the man slowly approached, he hesitated, than turn to run in fear. The stone giant gave no chase, and looked almost similar to a TzHaar, though different in color. It did not chase nor purse the man. The others watching from a distance, remained there. Some fled, a few watched. The stone giant wandered in a circle about the obelisk, as if studying it for the first time. Eventually it touched it, than began removing some of the more invasive plants and small reptiles that had been laying about in its shadow. When the task was complete, it simply stood as still as the statue it was before the obelisk.

Sentries were posted, but besides the ever so often movement to remove more plants or scare off animals, the stone giant remained at it's post. Nonspeaking and paying no mind to those spying on it.
