Appearance and Personality:
Faisal isn’t quite different from a normal guy. He is neither too short nor too tall, neither too fat nor too thin. He isn’t specially handsome, but he is not ugly at all. He has a short dark hair and lacks some hair at the top of his head. He is calm, patient and rather an introvert than a talker, he is more likely to be minutely considering things than taking impulsive decisions and his mind is as accurate and precise as it can be. As a caravan trader, he is gifted because of his mind and takes advantage of it. He used to be glad of his life, but something has changed since his father and his younger brother were killed by bandits during a trip to Nardah. His humor grew greyish, somewhat apathetic. It is his children that keep him on purpose.
Family and Profession:
Faisal comes from an important and well-regarded family of cloth traders. They have been working as cloth traders for many generations and they have made good relations with producers of fine silk and sateen cloth from the East. His father Salam was one of the wealthiest men from Al Kharid. He had two hundred camels, a hundred slaves and dozens of servants, but most of it has been lost when a large group of bandits attacked them. Despite the boldness and value of Salam’s men, they were defeated, Salam and his younger son, Abdul, were killed and their wealth was gone. Only seven loyal servants managed to escape, led by Salam’s brother, Khalid ibn Rahman, with twenty camels and some cloth. Faisal was wounded and could do nothing. As his father’s heir, Faisal is in charge of his family's business and looks after his widow mother, his brother’s widow and a nephew. He has also a wife and two sons.
