Formerly the Wizards' Tower held the ward at the entrance to the tower itself, however this has now been expanded to a cylinder situated at the edge of the island. Being the small landmass that the island is and having plenty of arcane users to tend to the ward, this is how we guard ourselves.


This should not be confused with an out of character blacklist, which isn't much allowed in the first place. Rather, this is synonymous to a criminal list. Even characters on this list can still interact with the group, they'll just be hard pressed to get onto the island proper.




The List
- Exceptionally negative emotions including hate, vengeance, and the other such states of mind that incline one to violence. The ward utilizes a homebrew spell rooted in Lunar mind magicks to determine one's mood upon touching the barrier.

- In precaution of recent news , the wards are presently whitelisting rather than blacklisting. All confirmed faculty of the tower are allowed access and no one else.

No more is the Wizards' Tower a divided institution. Not by religion, not by philosophy. So the old adage goes, "united we stand, divided we fall". This wisdom has held true for many previous administrations of this facility, because they no longer exist. The Warlocks of Dominion intend to heed that wisdom and prevent any form of division. There is only one order, and that's everyone.

There are only paths of education and certifications. You could think of them as grades and classes of a traditional school. These are used to measure one's ability with each school of magic and nothing else. The Warlocks of Dominion are proud to offer the most comprehensive education the tower has ever seen and will continue to pursue avenues to acquire the capabilities to teach even more schools of magic.

The Modern Path

The Modern Spellbook tends to speak to the everymen, the traditionalists, and the jacks of all trades. These should not be conflated with being generic nor needless status-quo. In reality, the Modern Spellbook is the most tried and true magic system in the present day. No more effort is needed for theorycraft and spellcraft, no more time dedicated to intangibles and abstracts. The ones certified in Modern Magic are the rugged vanguards out in the wild who have tools for just about every situation.

Those certified as Apprentice in the Modern Path get full access to the enchanting workshop of the Tower. This is accessed using the beam into the basement of the Tower. (The elemental workshop landscaled.) Materials can be found across the workshop spread around in crates and barrels. Gems and metals can be used freely but inventory is regularly checked and wastefulness will be punished.

The Ancient Path

The Ancient Path is focused on the Ancient Spellbook. Unlike Modern Magic, Ancient Magic is considerably more niche and focused on combat both offensive and defensive. However, the magicians whom choose to take this path should not be considered brutes. Never mind the fact that no magician is a brute at all - this path is also focused on theorycraft and spellcraft, unlike the Modern Path. The sands of time paired with the persecution of the religion this magic has traditionally been associated with has rendered much of the spellbook lost to knowledge. This path works to restore the magic system to its former glory.

The Ancient Path maintains a pocket dimension that does not adhere to the rules of the main dimension. Runic energy is infinite, the landscape can be shifted on a whim, and death is no worry. It is the ideal training ground, however its limitations are that anything created inside of it cannot be taken outside of it. This is because it's mainly smoke and mirrors and far less tangible on a molecular level than Gielinor proper. Those certified as Apparentice are permitted in this dimension.
