We sail the seas of Gielinor. We hunt the Monsters of the deep. The Devourer in the Depths charged us with the slaying of these creatures. Til we too are dragged down to the depths we shall hunt. Never forget our words. We bring the storm!

Welcome to the House Sartosa thread! House Sartosa is a group of seafaring slayers who also brew rum. This role play will be focused on casual adventuring, sea monster hunts,
trade, and the odd bit of pirating and other naval shenanigans.

House Sartosa will be role playing with all role play canons. We will navigate the paradoxes as they arrive, but this role play has a duty to fun first before all else.

There are many jobs and ranks within House Sartosa. This list will be split between Family member jobs/ranks and the jobs of those sworn to serve House Sartosa.

Sartosa
-Ship Captain: The Sartosa captains are the leaders of the large warships in the Kraken Fleet.

-Brewmaster: Some of the Sartosa opt to spend their lives mastering the art of brewing rum. They are the ones who hold the secrets to the coveted Sartosa Rums.

-First Mate: Those who may one day be captains.

-Stormbringers: The rapidly fading mages of the Sartosa family. Very few remain and most of the Storm Magic of the Sartosa family is lost.

Sworn Crew
-Ship Captain: The family isn't quite large enough to captain every ship. Some who serve the family captain the lesser ships in the fleet.

-First Mate

-Brewers: They assist the brewmasters.

-Kraken Corsairs: The house military. All corsairs are trained in naval and land combat. They are also trained in slaying monsters.

The Kraken Fleet of the Sartosa family is massive. In truth the entire fleet is almost never together. Most of the ships sail across the globe hunting monsters in small groups.
The Sartosan ships are made to be durable and were crafted with the large monsters of the deeps in mind.

Like the Kraken has 8 arms, the fleet has 8 flagships. Each a massive Man-O-War equipped to fight creatures such as Thallasus and Kraken on their own. Each Flagship is near unique in design.

King Kraken :
The Flagship of Morgan Sartosa. The largest of all the Sartosa ships and brother ship of Queen Kraken. This monster of a vessel is covered in the sea monster scales and adorned with blades on the hull. The ship has similar armament to Queen Kraken with the addition of hwacha emplacements. The ship can be manipulated by the wielder of a weapon known as the Siren's Wail.

Queen Kraken :
The Flagship of Eris Sartosa. This massive ship was designed to hunt Kraken and all their sub-species. Metal spikes and blades cover the hull of the ship. the ship is armed with specially made ballista. The ship also utilizes greek fire. The front of the ship was made to ram. A massive Storm-Shell Kraken makes up the figurehead and ram of the ship.

The Kraken Corsairs are the Sartosa's house troops. They also make up the crews of all ships in the Kraken Fleet. These men and women are ruthless and very little scares them.
The corsairs specialize in naval combat and more specifically fighting giant sea monsters.
Their equipment reflects as such. Axes, spears, halberds, and crossbows are highly favored. Their armor is light plate and hard leathers.

The Kraken Corsairs are extremely loyal to the Sartosa family. They have also adopted the Devourer in the Depths cult of the family. They are a superstitious group, but also highly devoted. They will carry out their duty til their dying breath. Some corsairs have even been adopted into or married into the Sartosa family for their deeds and devotion.

While slaying sea monsters in important to the Sartosa, they need to funds to continue their expensive endeavors. As such they set up trade with kingdoms, nobles, guilds, and bars. They sell their most coveted rums for a high price and sometimes exotic sea monster delicacies. Sometimes their sea monster slaying services are purchased as well.
