Introduction


Welcome to the thread of the Lysiar! The Lysiar are a non-noble family of former Guthixians originating from Taverley. Though they have a large farm and homestead deep in the forests of Northern Asgania (known as The Garden), Lysiar family members are typically avid adventurers and can be found across Gielinor and beyond.

Almost all of the Lysiar have a somewhat natural affinity for botany, herblore, summoning and other forms of natural magicks. This roleplay will explore these themes whilst delving into the exploratory nature typical of Lysiar characters.

This group is intended to be relaxed and casual - relying little on interaction with other groups despite existing in the public sphere (though if any group wants to interact, feel free to ask about doing so!)

Aside from family members, family friends and individuals who are otherwise associated with the Lysiar may be involved with this group! If you have any questions, let me know.

Rules


Most of this is what you’d expect, really.
- Be respectful towards others.
- All Jagex rules still apply.
- Don’t break any of the expectations of roleplay. No godmoding, autohitting, metagaming etc.
- Play nice.

IC’ly, there are no official ‘rules’ or ‘edicts’ for any of the Lysiar to follow. However, generally they’ve been raised with the same morals. That means they believe in maintaining balance, are kind-hearted and generous to strangers. But, then again, no one person is the same.

The Garden


The Garden is a large, self-sufficient farm and homestead located deep in the forests of Northern Asgania. Those who pass-by might think the cluster of buildings is abandoned - overrun by vines, vegetation and semi-domesticated farm animals. But The Garden is the home of the Lysiar and their kin.

The area is dominated by a relatively unremarkable lake, on the shores of which sits an ample farmhouse built of rough-cut granite stones, supported by long mahogany beams. The farmhouse is flanked by two oaken barns, besides which sit two smaller lodgings buildings. Each of them, sparing only their own entrances and a few windows, are covered in various thick vines and the mosses of the forest. Dispersed throughout the woodland are other, smaller houses, built high into the trees - looking out onto small clearings which serve as grazing spots for the farm and forest animals alike. Though most of these treehouses have been abandoned in recent years.

The Garden is currently inhabited by Robyn Lysiar, who maintains what he can of the land with the help of various summoned familiars. As his family have dispersed with time, the duty of care of The Garden has fallen to him - though family members know well that they are welcome back at any time.
