The following concerns Alyce, Hope, Daryn and Griffin.

A single magpie landed on the windowsill of each of the recipients with it's head shifted to the side. On it's left foot was a piece of paper, rolled and tied rather scruffily, as if done in haste. Upon closer inspection, the bird may seem eerily familiar, and waited until the paper was taken before flying off. The paper read as follows:
"I've been taken. Find James Jamius, in Misthalin. He will lead you to me. I don't know how much longer they'll keep me around.
- R."
