I'll only be needing one post for this thread. I'll make a final thread sometime next week but wanted to put out this one to gather information and to let people know the event was coming.

The next Mages Conclave will be held on February 25th. This is over three weeks notice so should be sufficient for anyone who needs to make a schedule change. It will be a one-day event rather than the multi-day ones that we have done in the past but it will likely have some light RP in the leadup. So. That's what you all need to know and the purpose of this thread is to get what I need to know from the rest of you. If you can I'd appreciate feedback on the following questions.

1) What time should we start the conclave? EST please.
2) Where should we host the conclave?
3) Should we include a combat/duel portion?
3a) Would you be open to a non-tournament combat event?
4) Should we include a merchant element?
5) Do you want to present?
5b) What will you present and with what character?

If necessary I'll post further questions. Thanks everyone in advance for your input.

1) 12 EST, but I'm not picky.
2) Wizards' Tower is big enough for any crowd.

5pm EST or after is good. Especially if we don't run over time

2) Where should we host the conclave?

I'm not opposed to trying new places. The Wizard's tower ruins would be nice, as would the tower, as would Yanile (Mage Guild woopwoop). Though I won't deny I love the simplicity of a citadel at times.

3) Should we include a combat/duel portion?

Combat, yes. Duels, no. Duels get really bad when people have different views on how magic works, how strong it could get. Nobody wants to sit through hours of 1v1 fights again. I'd suggest either a 3v3, an apprentices versus Master-Craft Construct fight, or randomly selecting two fighters.

3a) Would you be open to a non-tournament combat event?

See above.

4) Should we include a merchant element?

I want to say yes, but the past few years it hasn't been really popular. If it's book-ended with presentations, sure.

5) Do you want to present?

Hell yes. I have... Two, the later of which we discussed in PM

5b) What will you present and with what character?

Kat or Faaiza Abdul'Qadir (Depending on other Debaters) - A Debate on the Triviality of Forbidden Knowledge

1) Anytime after 5pm EST would work.

2) Any place works for me. Though the Wizard's Tower, and it's ruins will always be my personal choice.

3) I believe there shouldn't be a "scheduled" combat/duel portion. I would simply say that people who want to duel can duel at anytime, simply apart from presentations that are going on. Due to how long duels usually tend to drag on. Volunteers to supervise/referee can be asked for by the respective participants, but it should be entirely up to individuals if they want to duel, rather than there be a specified segment for duels.

4) Similarly to duels, I believe merchant elements should be up to the individual, rather than there being a specific time allotted for them. If people want to sell things in-character, then it can be done during their own time during the conclave, or even after it during the free-time periods.

5) If I can make it. Due to my work schedule this can be changed at any time, but I will pm you Magus, or whoever is hosting, if I am unable to make it.

2) Where should we host the conclave? Anywhere really. Though a clan citadel might be useful of someone were to lend one.

-- 5 PM EST. Should give everyone who has weekend chores enough time to knock those out of the way early, as well as ample time for presentations before people wish to start going to sleep.

2) Where should we host the conclave?
-- Clan Citadel. Wizard's Tower has too many wild animations and going on as a distraction. The Keep is much more organised and traditional. (I mean it was MADE for large gatherings.)

3) Should we include a combat/duel portion?
-- I support the 3v3 Duels suggested by Lady Thalia. If time is an issue, we could have the duels be a final event for the night and/or keep them timed.

3a) Would you be open to a non-tournament combat event?
-- Free-For-All? Bring it.

4) Should we include a merchant element?
-- No. Does anyone really buy the things they own anymore, anyways?

5) Do you want to present?
-- I can't speak for future-me, but at this very moment I'll say no.
