Well I just noticed the date and I am abroad visiting a good friend of mine so I can try but I might actually be asleep for once lol

1) I'd go with like 10 PM EST.

2) Maybe a POH? So we can kick out any crashers and trolls.

3) I'd LIKE to say yes, but with everyone's disagreements on magic, it never seems to work out too seamlessly. Unless we can all agree to just roll with each other's actions in magic combat, then I don't think we should do it. Aside from, of course, if people decide to have some magical duels on their own during the Conclave, but having it as part of the event can be iffy.

3a) Maybe. See above.

4) I'd like to say yes - maybe an auction of magical objects, but otherwise, it doesn't seem like it'll appeal to a lot of people.

5) Pooossibly. Still considering whether I want to, and then whether or not any of my characters would.

5b) N/A for now. Mods pls notice me

1) What time should we start the conclave? 5pm EST is good for an Aussie like me.
2) Where should we host the conclave? I'm a fan of the Tower Ruins for the combat portion so we could do the whole event at Wizards' Tower or a Citadel.
3) Should we include a combat/duel portion? Yes.
3a) Would you be open to a non-tournament combat event? - Yes I'm open to a hunger-games like event where the organisers have their own twists and challenges for the competitors.
4) Should we include a merchant element? - Yes and like Eli said, an auction would be great.
5) Do you want to present? - Yes.
5b) What will you present and with what character? - Aadila Tuhan and if you'll let me, she'll oppose Nat's "A Debate on the Triviality of Forbidden Knowledge" debate.

I'll leave questions on the main post so others can weigh in but as it stands now we're leaning towards a 5pm EST start time. The main location will be the Wizards Tower unless anything stands out or is overwhelmingly preferred. The Three main elements will be as follows:
1) Combat
---This will not be a tournament. Some specifics will be a surprise but as a general guideline it will be open to anyone, there will be a winner, and it will have an ooc time limit to be determined based on the number of participants.
2) Auction
---Simply put we're auctioning off things. I'm asking everyone to think of something there character can donate to the auction and I'll be coming up with a few of my own. Some of these will be available before hand others will not be. Just pm me if you want yours to be a secret one.
3) Speakers
-a) Presenters
--- This will go on as usual. Speakers will be given a few minutes to present their information followed by a q/a session. Speakers will have at most 15 minutes in order to give everyone time. If there are too many speakers this may change.
-b) Debate
---These will be more of a forum but there will be two presenters (one per side) and time will be allowed for questions. Debates will be around 20 minutes but again this can vary depending on number of speakers and how the debate moves along.



Thread is still open for input but this is just a heads up on the general direction I'm planning. I'd appreciate feedback on this as well.

Alright sometime tomorrow or Wednesday night I'll be posting the actual event thread. Those who have already indicated a desire to speak will be automatically filled in and I'll finalize rules/location/time though most everything is already in this thread. I'll also be asking for people to make a list of the items they are donating for auction and to indicate participation in the combat portion. Anyone who hasn't indicated a desire to speak can still get a spot up until the 12pm EST friday.
