hey all i just got a member ship the elven gear i can find and start my quest through rs again itsbeen a while and seeking a nice roleplay group to get me going i think ima make my character an elven ranger im rusty as all can be but im dedicated , its been since 2009 since i played rs so everything will also be new to me , if yall know naything or wanna get something going let me know

I mean, it is close to not existing at the moment. I think a good word for the state of RuneScape roleplay is dormant. Overal, what remains of our Roleplayers are a mere handfull of individuals who still seemingly care for this aspect of their MMORPG.

Some examples from the top of my head; Jyac tries to start something on OSRS, Ridaku tries to host a monthly roleplay opportunity with a revamped version of an old classic, Twillow tries to help the roleplay community communicate their wants and needs on the forums, small in-game roleplays get hosted between people who used to roleplay here for longer with hope it sticks and grows in a certain location (like the Wizard's Tower or Morytania), Void keeps the Wikia polished and appealing for folks who want to keep track of character history and I am here commenting on your post to try to help you understand what is up with roleplay on RuneScape.



Unfortunately, what is presented now is what you get if you want to roleplay on RuneScape. There are low amounts of people, both on OSRS and RS3, in-game, on the forums and off-site, actively using RuneScape as their roleplay platform. There are therefor no big clans/guilds/groups actively roleplaying on both platforms (RS3 and OSRS). There are a few Discord groups that are full of roleplayers from them but I am not in any of them so can't help you with those other then to give you that usual 'we are out there' vague statement.

Off putting, I'm sure but I speak from experience to say that RuneScape is a true diamond in the rough when it comes to being able to provide a high fantasy setting of tremendous creative opportunity for roleplayers. If you are truelly motivated and dedicated to roleplay on RuneScape I'm sure you'll get there.
