Hello
It wasn't that long ago that the forum specific rules for this forum were updated and, in fact, they were updated based on the community's input.
The typical process is:
1. set up a thread where discussion can take place about the forum specific rules and, after discussion, make a draft of what you would like.
One of the things I remember about the previous discussion that resulted in several changes is: some wanted rules or policies that were against the general forum rules (the Code of Conduct). It is important to remember that forum specific rules need to be within the Code of Conduct.
2. finalize the draft and an f mod (most likely me) would pass that along to the Community Management team.
3. The Jmods would review your recommendations. In the end, the decision would be in Jagex's hands.
I can also give the Community Management team a heads up that the community has a thread to discuss the forum specific rules.
Let me know if I can help in any other way.
Firstly, I'll apologise for being sort of off-topic regarding this thread. I misclicked and accidently found myself in this forum, and noticed this thread with curiosity.
I assume that's only if the community works to forming the FSR, that it'll be passed on? Because I'm sure you know, for a year+ I've had a thread about updating the M&D&D FSR, and literally nothing has happened. It's not even rule changing, but guidance. I assume nothing has just happened because I know the community on that side dislikes me a lot.
I guess what I'm really wondering about, is would it be different if a thread was created to allow people from that specific community to add their discussions/contributions such as this thread, rather than just the one I did that most likely no one from that community has even seen?
Again, I apologise to the Roleplaying community for this post <3
