Their knives. I recently stopped working aa a chef but before that I owned a pair of Japanese knives which, if you ask me, are the finest blades in the world to work with. Expensive, yes - but so worth it!
Their whisky does taste good as well. They have come along way when it comes to making whisky.

My favorite things about Japan are how they seem to have the knack to make certain people not have a clue about them and just sit there watching those idiots try and belittle them without retaliation.
