You have to admire Japan's innovation, as Kiwi mentioned, so many great inventions.

There are bigger (and more important) things but... Sony gave the world the first truly portable music player - the Walkman.

There are probably a lot of great things that Japan have invented and produced, the things that come to mind are their food.

And in particular sushi, and their cars. The last 3 cars I have owned have been Toyota Corollas.

I know that their food, like fish is very fresh.

But like a lot of countries there is a lot more to Japan than I know.

Great post, I completely forgot about cars. One of my favourite things that come from Japan are cars but not food lol.
The action or process of causing so much damage to something that it no longer exists or cannot be repaired.

Lots of fun and interesting things from Japan, but my favorite thing is....
The Porlex ceramic burr manual coffee grinder. The ONLY way to make a truly good cup of coffee (Along with a French press, of course.)

As someone who lives here, I could say a lot. But I guess my favourite thing would have to be...

It's an amicable society where people are generally kind to each other. They also think about each other and most of them don't dare to disrupt public peace and order.

It's the polar opposite of the west in the that regard. Before I moved here, no matter where I lived in the west, I'd inevitably deal with disruptors like people partying at night without a thought to their neighbors. And people smoking right next to non-smoking signs. And people loudly playing music. And smoking weed in an apartment building and stinking up all the adjacent rooms. And gun violence. And people not stopping for pedestrians.

None of that here. Or next to none.
