I'd set off a bug bomb, close the door and seal the room with tape to prevent any escapees. Wait 24 hours then check the room. The label on the can says to wait 3 to 4 hours before entering the area. I have found some bugs are more resistant than that.

Honestly that would freak me out, I'm not keen on spiders and that looks like a nightmare.

Though I think if I found a huge nest of spiders I'd just burn the whole house down.

EDIT: Thanks for the link above. If the photos are from their house, I would definitely be burning it to the ground. No exceptions.
