Chinese spy balloon spotted in Montana and according to reports its heading southeast. China is slowly but surely stealing ur personal information be careful!
I need my blue charms back.
2. Shooting it down is less easy than people seem to think: these things are designed for high endurance. The last time something like this happened, fighter aircraft shot 1000 rounds into one, and it
still
didn't come down -
They ought to fire lasers at it to scramble the 1's and 0's. They say it's a weather balloon, maybe it is, or maybe they're updating their maps. It could be used for anything, feeding data to some super computer / Ai, who knows. China seems to have a habit of feigning weakness or playing stupid to get out of things like this. Art of War - Sun Tzu "Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak. If your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him." Let's hope it was an honest mishap.
You'd think they'd send up 2 balloons at the same time, tethered, so this kind of thing doesn't happen. Similar to connecting a rope to 2 climbers, if one falls the other is secure. No excuse for not having redundancies or failsafe's for these things. Irresponsible. That said, I wonder how many times our own countries have made similar errors that go unreported, lol.
