I have nine tattoos to date and I am happy with all of them.
They definitely seem to be a lot less "taboo" than they were years ago.
For me, its a way of expressing myself and filling up spaces with beautiful art.
Pain wise, only the one on my chest really hurt to be honest. My arms were fine (maybe the wrist was a little stingy), but other than that - no complaints!

do you plan on getting more?
wait till you get your knee done, thats still my most painful :L
If I was to get 1 it would be of a Rabbit. At a distance it would look like a hair..... I'm bald see. A joke.
Just heard about my tattoo shop that it may not be open this year. So it's looking like I'll have to wait till next year for my latest creation. It's ok though I don't mind as it may take 8-10 hours over 3 sessions. It's a big 1.

It's to cover it to keep it protected and to stop it getting infected while healing, when the skin is still fresh/open to infection . It stays on for 4-5 days, then comes off. After that, have to make sure to keep it clean, washing it like twice a day with gentle soap for like a week to ensure it doesn't get infected.
