The other thread maxed out, so thanks to everyone who participated, and...
welcome to season one, episode II ;)

Feel free to share our opinions about TV shows, films etc. and tell us about stuff we might have missed.

It can be as brief as you like but please give some info, even if it's just "it was pretty good"
or "I didn't like it." If you want to write a longer review, great.
IMDB links are images are welcome too.

Oh, and if you're posting spoilers, (particularly with recent stuff) please use spoiler tags.

Watched ''Restless"

I saw a trailer for that last night, I'll definitely be giving it a go!

Last night I started watching a new Netflix series that'[s been getting mixed reviews:
Inventing Anna
. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8740976/

Normally I think Julia Garner is excellent, particularly in Ozark, but she made the decision to adopt a really bizarre accent for this and it sounds awful, it's so bad that it's comical.

She's supposed to be German (or is she? (the back story is deliberately vague), so she's obviously going with that.

I hate abandoning a series I've just started, but it made me cringe every time she spoke.
Watch the first five minutes you'll see what I mean, it really is hilarious.

Sadly, nothing. :(

The lounge room TV's power supply board died after a storm we had on Sunday - the storm after receiving 734 mm of rain in three days. This is twice the amount of rain we usually receive in two months . This is 75% of our
annual
rainfall.

My partner wants to play TV technician/repairer and has ordered a new PCB from Sony. If only I could convince him to buy a new TV. >.<

Definitely time for a new TV Tox ;) Sony do a 77 inch OLED, just the job!

Im currently scouring Netflix and Amazon for a movie to watch tonight.
If I can't find anything I might watch the new series of
Mrs. Maisel.

rewatching all marvel films, will take a while im sure,

I did that a while ago, watched the all in their "proper" order rather than by release date... it's a great way to watch them as the story really flows.

I watched
Joker
again last night (saw it when it first came out) and it still blew me away on a second viewing.

Absolutely brilliant performance by Joaquin Phoenix and a really different (and much more convincing) back story for The Joker.

I last watched an episode of Arcane, but took a hiatus from watching TV shows. I'm looking to resume, and hopefully finish that one over the next month or so. :)
