It seems to have been a weekend of unexpected defeats with City, Arsenal and Liverpool all losing games they were expected to win.

Just read in the news that City have been accused of breaking financial rules:

Update on the City debacle, wow. :O

I don't expect that this will be resolved quickly, the investigation has been going on for years.

They got away from the Uefa sanctions because of their rule breaches being time barred, but that doesn't seem to be an issue with the premier league investigation. It's just difficult to see any semblance of "justice" being served when they've been flagrantly cheating for so many years.

A point deduction or even relegation would be "worth it" for them, unless they're also stripped of all titles won in the seasons in question.

Loads of Premier League action today, I'm hoping that Bournemouth can beat (or draw with) Newcastle.

A bit unlikely as Newcastle seem to be on excellent form.

I just read that they're considering selling some this summer. Are things really that bad there?

Today's games:

Leeds vs Manchester United
Manchester City vs Aston Villa

United will be looking for a better performance than the midweek game against Leeds.

...and City take the top spot. They're now on the same points as Arsenal but have a better GD.

Loads of Europa games tonight, I'm looking forward to United vs Barcelona.
