A combined thread here for three notable people who passed away this week:
George Schultz (1920-2021)
One of the architects of the post-Cold War world order, a veteran statesman who served in formal office under Eisenhower, Nixon and Reagan, worked on federal task forces for John F Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson, and was an informal adviser to George W Bush.
Larry Flynt (1942-2021)
A pornographer and free speech advocate who was also an example of how much could be achieved by someone who suddenly became severely disabled (after a murder attempt). Love him or loathe him, he made an indelible mark on American and wider culture.
Chick Corea (1941-2021)
Legendary jazz composer, keyboardist and bandleader whose career spanned five decades. Establishing himself in the early 1960s he went on to play with Miles Davis before striking out with his own group, and his last album was released as later as in 2020.

Larry Flynt (1942-2021)
Interesting fact I heard about Larry Flynt is that he engineered a situation whereby every member of congress is subscribed to Hustler (a porn magazine) and cant unsubscribe or stop it being delivered.
