"Ciders are a type of Archeopteryx for alcoholic drinks. Not quite a dinosaur, not quite a bird, just as cider is not quite a beer, not quite a wine either."

True! I would just prefer to stay on the side of things here and include beverages only specifically labeled as beer.

I've gone ahead and updated the list of beers mentioned since the last time I updated the list!

Man I love craft beer. West Sixth IPA where I live is amazing. I also have a microbrewery in my town called the Beer Engine. Great house craft beer and they bring in a nice variety from other microbreweries in the state. They had a beer called Saurbock, which was a sour beer that was very good. I was a bit hesitant at first, but the flavor profile was awesome.

My favorite styles are IPAs and porters. I love IPAs for their bitter finish and porters for their hints of coffee and sometimes chocolate. I enjoy porters more in the winter, though.

I used to drink Budlight, Coors, etc. But I can't enjoy them after being shown the light at the end of the tunnel that is craft beer. Ugh! I want to go get some now. I'm enjoying this thread a lot.

IPAs are my favorite :D
I like how in the US we are starting to create some great new ideas for beer.
A friend of mine went to Spain though he said they mostly drink loggers but then again Spain is wine country

Anyone else a fan of stouts? Absolutely my favorite - the darker the better!

Particularly Southern Tier has a few fantastic chocolate and coffee stouts, as well as the dessert style Creme Brulee stout! Very full bodied and sweet.
