@Chill Yes, the angry ones do always ruin the fun

Wow! HUGE thanks to everyone that has kept this thread alive. I took quite a break from the forums and sometime last week I remembered this thread. For ***** and gigs, I decided to search it and see if it was still around. To my amazement, it was, and it drew quite a smile from my face I will admit. Thanks again to everyone that kept this alive.

I decided to go through each and every page, reading every post again, to compile a list of every beer mentioned in this thread. This list will replace the history section in the OP. The list only contains “beer” (beer being used in a very general way), any other alcoholic drinks (i.e. hard liquor, cocktails, cider, wine, etc) will not be listed there, though I am open to possibly allowing cider. If I remember correctly, only one brand of cider was mentioned throughout the entire thread, Strongbow, so it wouldn’t be difficult to add that one to the list. I’m open to feedback on whether or not I should include cider. The reason I am hesitant is because other threads discussing harder liquors have been locked. This one has been open for over 2 years now and has had responses from Fmods and Jmods alike. Beer is a consumable item in-game whereas nothing else really is. I’ve gone on the assumption that if Jagex lets you drink it in-game, they’ll let you discuss it on the forums and so far that assumptions has held up to be true.

Going through the thread from the beginning was quite an experience. As a history buff, I love learning about different cultures, and it really is incredible to see one drink have so many variations that spans the entire world, each variation being a little small taste of a specific country*s culture! So many different types and brands have been talked about here, I now have quite a list to take with me and use whenever I visit a new country!

To kick off some discussion, it was funny to see how my own taste in beer has changed over the last 2 years. I’ve grown to really enjoy ales, specifically if it is with a meal. Ales, IPA’s especially, are wonderful dinner beers. Craft Beer is something I’m enjoying right now, too. It’s a booming industry here in The States. I enjoyed a wide range of local craft brews this past summer, my favorite being Oberon Ale made by Bell’s Beer. It’s a darker ale with a slight orange back-taste to it. It’s almost like a Shock Top but has a stronger taste, it was perfect for a summer dinner out on the porch. I also enjoy many different beers from the New Holland Brewing Company, they have a line of beers (their hatter brands, more ale) that has a list of foods that the taste of the beer is supposed to compliment. I found that kind of neat, something new. If I had to recommend one from this brewery, it’d be a New Holland Black Hatter. Sadly, the foods that the taste compliments escape my memory right now. There are still so many local breweries I have yet to try and I look forward to continuing my little journey! I still enjoy lighter beers (Natty Ice and Bud Light Platinum, mostly) as they are cheap and make for great party beer. Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Dos Equis, Coors Light and Heineken are all great beers to have while at the bar watching a game!

Honestly, I cannot say enough just how happy I am to see that others refused to let this thread die. I would have completed the list sooner but I’ve been a bit busy. With that said, I’ll definitely be more active here now and look forward to seeing exotic “beer” brands from across the world!

I had a Grand Circus IPA brewed by Atwater Brewery last night. It had a nice light brown color and had the crisp taste you'd expect from an IPA. Twas delicious

Oh and I also had a Labatt Blue last night. It was then that I learned about Canada's version of Budweiser! Light on taste on color but it was alright :P
