Ofcourse I've had a fair few nights that I can't remember, but most of the time I do drink, it's a reasonable quantity and only for the social aspect. It's not that if you don't drink, you're being anti-social, I've been out to the pub only drinking pepsi because I'm driving, but alcohol makes it easier to relax and have conversations with complete strangers over the most trivial topics.
But as with everything, people will abuse it, but that isn't the alcohol's fault as much as it's reasonable to blame a car for human error that leads to an accident. To blame the drink rather than the person for their actions is missing the point and wont solve the problem, and from my personal experience with alcohol, all it does is show someone's true colours.
EDIT: Also, forgot to mention my favourite beer, it's a good ol' fosters, but if there inst any of that, I'll just have some Brains SA (Not a beer but ah well
).
