Are you sure about that?
Last I checked 89 points is better than 0 points.
Just because one pay their way to skip the semi-finals I wouldn't say that makes them better.

The show needs scrapping to be fair.
It was fun years ago when we all got along. Today and for the last few years no one gets along and the UK gets no votes. Not surprising we get no votes the songs are crap and have been for a few years.
We need better judges to pick out the best UK song and not some rubbish we all know we get us nil poi. Nothing worst then having no points. Such an embarasment to the whole country. Comprehensive Account Security

I didn't watch the show because I knew it would be a waste of my time ( and not just the UK entry ). I saw the Italy entry being the winner and a little bit of the song before I turned the TV off. I didn't like the bit I heard but its not fair to judge it on less than half a minute. I'd been watching something else and changed the channel ready for the next morning otherwise I wouldn't have seen any of Eurovision.
edit to add: I agree the show needs scrapping. Its too long winded now.
I think the UK should stop paying towards the event and compete in the earlier ( preferably not aired ) stages.
