April 14 is Burt Gummer Day. Whose Burt Gummer, you say? He's the reason why we don't have Graboids hunting Mankind. He's a Hero! He sacrificed his life killing the Queen. Or...did he really die?

series knows who I mean. In the last episode, April 14 is dedicated to the memory of Burt Gummer.
In the series, Burt Gummer (portrayed by Michael Gross) is a hunter who has come across Graboids (he named them) and dedicated his life to eradicating these subterranean 'worms'. In Burt Gummer's own words:
The Graboid is a vicious subterranean predator, about 30 feet in length with a semi-rigid internal structure. It senses its prey seismically, and employs three power, snake like oral tentacles to ensnare its prey, and pull into the Graboid's gullet. It is not a pleasant venue. Trust me. I've been there. If that weren't enough, Graboids give birth to three ugly spawn we call Shriekers. Short, squat, and blind bipedal bad boys that sense and hunt their prey using Infrared sensors. These, in turn, give rise to the Ass Blaster, a winged, predatory carnivore which uses a mixture of volatile chemicals in its...nether regions to blast into the air and swoop down upon its victims. Ass Blasters carry eggs that hatch and become new Graboids, beginning this hellish cycle anew.
It was filmed in Thailand and Devil's Punchbowl in Valyermo, California. Great series.
Did you follow the series? Did you see the last episode? Do you think Burt Gummer is alive or dead?
A trap was set at the bottom of Devil's Punchbowl using pointed stakes and TNT. The idea was to get the Queen to chase him and then jump out of the way at the last second before she falls over the edge of the canyon to her death. Burt missed his chance of evasion. You see him going into the mouth of the beast. What you didn't see was his remains at the bottom. Did he manage to escape? Will there be episode 8?
