One of the major points and beauties of RS is that it all inclusive for every religion, race, sect, creed and gender.
Marginalising or Promoting sectors of the community through any of those things is not such a good idea I feel.

Generally the religious (of whatever faith) have a bad time talking about their beliefs in public in game, so I can understand looking for like-minded friends if you consider this to be an overridingly important part of your life.
But do please remember that this is a game, and most people are not looking for serious (including religious) discussions here - rather, they're wanting to kick back and relax!

@ HailHolyMary - I've closed this thread as this forum is for discussion topics that are not related to RuneScape.
In general, some good ways to find friends in game is to strike up a conversation with those who are skilling in the same area. (I've made some wonderful friends just chatting with whomever was fishing, woodcutting, chasing divination wisps, nearby.) If you pick a world with good ping for you and make it your "home world", you'll soon notice that you're seeing other regulars of that world around you quite frequently and will soon progress from "Hi again!" to "What slayer task do you have today?". Some may be willing to talk about more serious topics with you, but Archaeox's advice is also correct:

Another good way to find friends is by joining a friend's chat or a clan. Both RS3 and OSRS have so many FC's and clans to choose from. You can join one that focuses on specific things to do in game (PvP/PvM/Skilling) or are connected by a common language or geographical area, or shared interests (Role-playing/anime/sci-fi/religion). You can use the Search Threads box at the top of each forum to narrow down your choices. Or post in the RS3
Recruitment - Looking for a Clan Forum
or the OSRS
Looking For A Clan thread
to describe what type of clan you are looking for.
If you are unable to find a Friend's Chat or a Clan that is to your liking, you are welcome to create you own and invite others to join you. Both versions of the game have forums just for that.
