There comes a time in the grieving process where a person doesn't forgive for the other person, they forgive for themselves. Holding onto negativity really just drags you down, tbh.

That being said, forgiveness is a personal decision and not a decision found in any court. And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

You will find your stupid science-based gun firing squad is rather puny compared to my faith-based weapons!

I'd argue that faith can be stronger than weapons - including the faith people have in leaders, others, the economy, the justice system, etc... ;) And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

I used to oppose the death penalty but that was when I was more naive and didn't realise just how evil some people can be and what they're capable of doing. the world is just better off without them.
I use to be against it too, not for being naive; just different view from what I have today. There's still the problem of being innocent which has happened on death-row in America.

- I started watching The Innocent Man on Netflix the other night; not to do with death-penalty, interesting all the same.
