I'm not a big fan of Ryan Gosling usually (he's only got two facial expressions, both of them miserable) but last night I watched
First Man
- the story of man's first walk on the moon... and Gosling was pretty good in it.

Well worth a watch, particularly if you remember the event. There's all the stuff that everyone already knows )"The Eagle has handed", "One small step for man..." etc.) but loads of detail about what went on behind the scenes too.

Interestingly, Neil Armstrong's family said that Gosling's portrayal of him was the most accurate they'd ever seen.

I love a good exorcism film, can't remember if I've seen that one.

Last night I re-watched American Sniper - very brutal in parts but a good story and it never ceases to amaze me how completely different Bradley Cooper looks in everything he does. I knew that's how acting works but he was almost unrecognisable in this one.

I installed a new app on my Amazon firestick called PlutoTV It's totally free and has 100's of free movies as well as free TV shows.

So while looking through it I spotted a movie I've never seen and no idea how I missed it. So watched it.

Was called Last Knight. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2493486/

Totally thrilling movie with a great cast. A must watch.

Got 10-10 from me. Was that good. Will watch it again soon too.

Ooooh, just finished watching quite a good film.

21 Bridges

It's a sort of cops & robbers film, with a twist. Lots of shoot-outs, bad guys, unexpected good guys and a pretty simple plot. Went down well with chicken salad and a cup o' tea.

I like the sound of that, I'll look out for it.

I watched "Enola Holmes " on Netflix, what a great film!
Millie Bobby Brown (from Stranger Things) plays Enola, Sherlock Holmes' sister... and she's brilliant.

Great support cast too with Henry Cavill as Sherlock and Helena Bonham-Carter as his (and Enola's) mother.

I saw that in early September and mentioned it on page 40 of this thread. I enjoyed it too. I didn't go in to any detail though, just mentioned it starred Chadwick Boseman who had recently died.
edit to add: A lot of the interesting sounding films mentioned on this thread are either not available on Amazon prime or I'd have to pay extra. We pay enough for membership, I refuse to pay them again!

Awww, I didn't read this thread much until a few weeks ago, I always watch more telly when the weather starts getting messy. Will be keeping an eye on it now!

I don't watch anything that's not included with the price either. We're lucky that we share our Netflix with a neighbour and get his Amazon in return (cuz you can add lots of different devices heh heh).
