I'm getting mad at YouTube.

I watch videos on my Phone, Laptop, Smart TV and Computer.

Last few weeks The Amazing YouTube has blocked my LapTop and Now my Computer from watching any videos. Yesterday I watched a lot of videos on my Computer as normal. Today Blocked.

They are really pissing me off big time when I don't use Ad Blockers and have not done so for years.

Anyone know any way around it?

I did send in a complaint and not holding my breath on that 1.

Only way to view videos now on my Computer is go into Incognito Mode.

Using FireFox latest and Chrome. Both blocked lol.

the only thing I could think off Tuffty, would be to use a VPN Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.

Hah I had this problem - it only stopped when I removed the Malware Bytes browser extension (don't worry, I have OTHER adblockers and security extensions anyway!)

Drat. You may have hit it on the head. I use Malware bytes and Yes have that extension too.

Funny thing is it's been active for many months. Was enjoying videos day before and then blocked. I have turned it off and it seems to be working. :D

Now if I could get it unblocked on my laptop that would be great. No idea why thats blocked. Only has Windows 11 and FireFox and Chrome installed and no extentions. ;)

Computer is back to normal. I can watch videos again while doing other things. ;)

Cheers for the help.

@Kiwi Magic

Forgot that site is still around. Not used it in years. Way too infected with all sorts of nasty things back in the days. ;)

uBlock origins, no more ads

I second this, and OR JDownloader 2 to just 'take' such videos for 'personal use' of course, even has option to just get MP3s. If you run into .TS files, find the m3u8 file in html. :P <---dev tools, networking, clear, press play, it should load such links. limited to 480p? but found Video_480P.m3u8, rename to Video_1080P.m3u8 and paste link into Jdownloader2.

^internet is limitless to how it's designed. No link, design your own :P

Internet is highly insecure and sites storing data on my PC warrant my ToS on my data storage, "Anything stored on my computer is legally mine to save, which is 'everything' viewed :P "

Google collects my data all the time, I collect 'theirs' too! :)

If on PC, just use the uBlock origin browser extension. You should be good with that. I haven't been bothered by YouTube for a while. You may sometimes need to manually force uBlock origin to update. You can do so by opening uBlock origin's settings > Click "Purge all caches" and then click "Update now". Reload page/browser and the pop-up may go away.

The uBlock team are constantly keeping up with YouTube anti-ad block scripts. It updates once or twice daily. Sometimes they fall behind and you may get a pop-up. It's not for long though.

You can check if uBlock have updated their scripts by visiting https://drhyperion451.github.io/does-uBO-bypass-yt/

The above URL can be useful if you find yourself getting the pop-ups, but can't get rid of them with uBlock. It tells you if uBlock need to update their scripts.
