Google can be so controling

Today I tried to watch YouTube and for me to do that I had to sign into Google My news article, not the Google one, the one that comes up when I swipe me phone to the right needs me to sign into Google. FFS every dam thing seems to want me to sign into Google. They have this control over what you can and can't do...

Really annoyed...

they only have control if you give them control

but many sites are connected to google for convenience.

I love Google.

I have an Android phone, I use Google Contacts to keep my connections in the cloud, I use Google Calendar to arrange my life, I use Google Mail for my private and business (branded) mail addresses, and I use Google Backup & Sync to keep my files current on both my desktop PC's.

I find Google's uptime to be good, and its products to be efficient and stable.

Of course, I also use a bunch of script blocking and ad-blocking add-ons

Don't get me wrong Iike Google, it's just annoying that I have to sign in to all these places for the services to start up again.

I actually got into YouTube without signing in, I used another thread in this forum YouTube link, not directly, copied it and put it in Google search and I was able to YouTube without signing in

On all my devices and all my browsers are linked with my antivirus which has its own search engine connected to ask.com.

I don't use Google. I've never had sign into my account to watch YT. I, also, have an ad blocker. Sorry, Tubers. I get enough commercials on TV, scammers in my email, and telemarketers on my phone. I need someplace to go without being overwhelmed with advertising products I'll never use nor interested in.

I just use fake accounts for everything not important. To google i'm David Smith, 74, retired mechanic

^i only really use gmail accounts for playstore so no harm if i lose the password etc, just make a new one.

I honestly don't trust companies, i use everything at my disposal to hinder their 'research', i melt past the BS ads with adblockers, sometimes i block scripts so there adware stuff won't even load

Overall i like google. But i don't trust them...peoples info has value. I value my privacy over their earnings, plus they make enough.
