It's probly' for the best that it's no longer around.

The fansite I refer to was created as an alternative to this place, as a matter of fact. Back then, this place was a bit too Draconian for some peoples' tastes...

It's somewhat ironic that this place has endured, but that's a discussion for elsewhere.

I fundamentally disagree that it's "for the best that it's no longer around".

Slid to a more appropriate place. Website and forums is for discussing Jagex's sites and forums. Seeing as this is a shout out to the fansites of yesteryear. Off-Topic is a far better home and should see far more foot traffic.

I remember Zybez! I used to use that one a lot for quest guides back in the day.

I never much cared for the community that surrounded RuneZone tbh... and RuneHQ wasn't my bag either. I think I tried to use RuneHQ for a quest guide or two back in the day, but it never got me anywhere.

These days it's been the wiki, since I think Zybez finally kicked the bucket. Either way I don't use it anymore. I don't think Zybez was ever on the approved list since I found several RWT ads on the site too during my time using it lol

In the earlier days I went to Rune HQ, tip.it, and Sal's Realm. I seldom went into any of the forums of the fansites. If I had a question, I researched it first then came here to ask. I found tip.it was the better of the three. I still use it for quests when the RS Wiki seems a little vague.

They're still around, but not much done for updating in the past few years. The last forum post was in 2020.
