So I got sick of my current "desk" for my PC so I decided to build a desk.

After much cutting, sanding, staining and varnishing, I have mostly assembled it.

It's even square in some places.

Square in some places? Hummm...A bit out of whack. But that's OK as long as it's sturdy. What about the legs? I hate a wobbly desk.

I bought an assemble-yourself cabinet. Tall, but not very wide or deep. After putting it together and carrying it to it's new place of convenience, I discovered one of the legs is 1-1/2 inches shorter than all the others. I took careful measurements and cut off the other 3 legs. Yes, I took very careful measurements x3. Much to my dismay, it still wobbles. Three of the legs, including the original short one are all even. One is a hair too short. It's OK, as long as I don't lean on it, lean against it or try to open it...it has a very strong magnet. Solution: I got a wedge, painted it close to the color of the cabinet, pushed the cabinet flush against the wall, tapped the wedge into place and cut off the rest. Good enough.
