I have a iBuypower keyboard and computer. My keyboard is about 3 years old and have had no problems until 3 days ago when multiple problems started occurring.
1...I was playing a tank game I've been playing for about a year with no problems. I use the z (turning turret left), x (turning turret right), c (centering the turret) keys for, space bar to shoot and the arrows keys for moving the tank. When I use the z/space combination, the game menu appears.. I had no idea there was such a window. I discovered if I hit the Wins key that disappears, but under that is the Windows menu. If I hit the Wins button again, that disappears. Normally, while in game, if I hit the Wins button the Windows menu appears, not the game menu. I don't know which key is suppose to bring up the game menu, it certainly isn't the game menu.
2...When I typed, some letters worked some didn't. I had to revert to the on screen keyboard.
3...I tried to make a new folder in my email. I'd typed the first letter OK, but after typing the second letter, the first letter and the cursor disappeared.
I popped off all the keys, give the keyboard a good cleaning and put it all back together. After that, most of the problems went away, but I still have problems with the z/space combo showing the game menu and the Wins menu and a shopping site I can't type anything in the search box. Now, I have a new problem. The right shift button brings up the undo, copy, paste, etc menu. I've always used the mouse for that.
Should I be looking for a new keyboard?

Try asking people you know. If they don't know, then you could ask your local electronic retailer. I don't know the answer to your question yourself, but maybe if you've exhausted all options then you could get a new keyboard. I think a decent pair costs around $25 USD, which is the price I paid for my replacement keyboard when my old one stopped working. Gl.
Worth checking you are still using the same country layout you always did. Some countries assign some odd results from normal US/UK keys.
Also worth trying a new battery in keyboard if that is the power source.
Finally try a computer reset to an earlier date before the problem started.
On a whim, I rebooted my router, that helped. I don't know why it did. My keyboard is wired, so no battery issues.
I still have the z/space bar combo problem. Yesterday, the Alt key got involved in this whole mess.
I called my computer geek friend. He asked me if I spelt any liquids on the keyboard. I hadn't. He was stymied, too. His only other suggestion was maybe a bug somehow go into the inner workings of the keyboard and is making a connection into another grid. I don't see how that's possible.
For the past couple days I've been looking at keyboards. I wanted another gaming keyboard, but they have changed drastically. Now they have mechanical keyboards, which I know nothing about and started doing some research. They have switches that makes a clicking sound...soft, medium and loud. You also have to know how much pressure you need to push down a key...light touch, medium touch, or hard touch. Some "bump" some don't. Hell, I don't know what my touch is nor do I know what a "bump" is. All of them have fancy lighting that does a light show on your keyboard while your using it. Sounds distracting, to me. On top of all that, they are very expensive. My gain is 0.01 to 0.02 ms faster.
I called the number on the iBuypower website. The guy I talked to said that all decent gaming boards are like that, now. I had read that any gaming board below $80.00 was trash. I mentioned that to him. He said that they weren't exactly trash, but they only have around 50,000 keystrokes as compared to the ones above $80.00 have 100,000 to 500,000 keystrokes, depending on the cost of the keyboard ($80.00 to $500.00).
I don't need noise when I type, I don't need a distracting light show while I'm trying to concentrate. But if I want a gaming keyboard I have to buy all that crapola, which jacks the price up. It doesn't make me any smarter, it doesn't make me play any better. It's just a bunch of hype.

There's differences even between UK and US keyboards.
Yep & other countries.

I've never really got the mechanical keyboard thing but apparently serious gamers swear by them.
If you find one you like but it has a "light show", most if not all backlit models have the option to torn the lighting completely off, so don't let that put you off.
From personal experience, I'll never buy another Corsair. Nice to use at first but if anything goes wrong (and it will), they have the worst customer support I've ever encountered.
This might be a good place to start, though there are thousands of reviews out there.

Side note: If I'm doing a lot of typing I love Apple keyboards.
No frills, no lights, but a really nice button feel.
