This is a massive gray area. It would be great to have the technology, of course, but the ethics of it all are questionable. We would stagnate at a species in terms of natural selection and I am thinking that isn't a good thing in the long run. And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

I don't want another Me running around! One is enough, thank you very much.

An interesting thought: If you believe in reincarnation, does that mean that your clone will be reincarnated, too?

It's interesting, as far as saying no and adopting well, the reason why people don't adopt is because you have to jump through hoops and pay a kind of money the average person doesn't have. Some folks will just never get adopted because money is an object for a lot of people. I also highly doubt that the world has too many people. most people are just crammed into cities but look at how much space is available BETWEEN cities, literally miles and miles and miles of wilderness which can be occupied without totally ruining nature.

Fun fact: Most of the oxygen comes from the oceans and bodies of water, not trees.

Going back to the topic at hand it's a fascinating subject which oddly I don't have an opinion of.

a lot of this statement is untrue.

(the ocean oxygen part is true, but to pretty much say, just because it comes from ocean lets get rid of trees, is incredibly silly thing to say)

its also not just about space to say if there is an overpopulation. resources to accomodate them is the main thing. and thats something we lack and are lacking. its been a thing for many many many years now.

ontopic (apologies going off topic but that way of thinking ^^ is somewhat dangerous, so i had to say something)
