I've gotta say, all three powerpuff girls. I can't separate them out as a favorite. Each of them together create one whole. You've got body (buttercup), mind (blossom), and spirit (bubbles).

I love their design, and whole idea behind them. The whole ideal super hero is that they are big and manly, you'd never think of three little kindergarten girls to fit that role. But no, they beat that stereotype and kick the crap out of monsters, criminals, and even the devil himself.

Their design is why I love each of them, They're small and adorable, no fingers, ears, noses, and huge eyes. Just makes them adorable and HIGHLY unpredictable when villains first encounter them. Also the fact that the show has great comedy and subtle humor for adults watching.

For just a regular cartoon, it has to be Courage, the cowardly dog. I love him, his computer, and the entire show.

But for anime, I'm not sure I can pick just one, but I could narrow it down to a handful. These characters stand out the most in my memory:

-My namesake, Lucy (Elfen Lied)
-Kurama, Yoko or otherwise (Yu Yu Hakusho)
-Holo, the Wise Wolf (Spice and Wolf)
-Asuka Langley Soryu (Evangelion)

-Spawn from...Spawn? Status: "Retired" From RuneScape. May come back to get 99 Slayer in 1 or 2 years.

Probably don't have a favourite cartoon character but as a kid it was Archibald the koala.

As for anime it would have to be Donquixote Doflamingo (joker) from one piece series Clan Defy -

The rabbids from the rayman rabbids games!!! I always play that even when my 15-25 year old cousins are up! They're funny, the games are hilarious, and best of all you can't even get ****** for losing, just watching them rabbids is completely worth it.
