Having read through all 257 pages of this **** i find myself wondering what mod Joel D was thinking when he started it....jeez....just add a chatroom jagex....(better than having yet another totally irrelevant thread on the forums...)

This is like the 3rd or 4th edition of the OTCL. The previous edition to this one had over 100 000 posts on it and was well used, but OT has slowly died...
You R Cookie, I am having a black screen with no loading. I follow Jagex mods steps but nothing work. I try everything they told me to do, still nothing work.

Click the Start button --> Search and copy these directories into the search bar:
%HOMEDRIVE%\.jagex_cache_32
%WINDIR%\.jagex_cache_32
%USERPROFILE%\jagexcache\runescape\LIVE
%USERPROFILE%\.jagex_cache_32
Once you've found these folders, please delete them.
After that, get him to DOWNGRADE Java as Java 7 is still dealing with compatibility issues with RuneScape. You can do so by following these instructions:
1. Go to Start > Computer > Programs and Settings
(Note that in Windows XP this will be Start > Control panel > Add/Remove programs)
2. Uninstall all versions of Java
3. Visit the download for Java 6 update 35 here:
http://oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre6u35-downloads-1836473.html
4. Select "Windows x86 Offline" to begin the download, then install Java
5. Restart your browser and try loading Runescape again
After that, have him shift between the display options which you can do so rom the Login screen, or in-game by clicking on the 'Tools' icon or spanner.
Click 'Custom'
Under 'Display' choose from either DirectX or OpenGL but don't go for Software as he may experience white screens or more black screens (Mac users do not have access to DirectX)
