Oh, nearly forgot Ralei- I love just how quickly you picked up that I was pretty gone a few days ago >_> "Revenge...is like a rolling stone, which, when a man hath forced up a hill, will return upon him with a greater violence, and break those bones whose sinews gave it motion."- Jeremy Taylor

Oh, it's a Bible thing. No wonder I didn't know it, lol.
I suppose The Caucasian Chalk Circle drew influence from it.

Anyway, been reading around about Immigration practices and some of it surprised me. (That's UK, of course, not much point in reading lots about the USA stuff as I don't live there). Will be interesting to see how things change once Brexit kicks in ... assuming we ever get to that point.

Did you watch panorama. Bit messed up if you ask me.

Was it that one back in July? Unfortunately, I missed it but had a read about some of it, especially what our Farmers are saying.

Strangely, I have noticed over the last several months that many items in the supermarkets are coming from odd places.

I make packed dinners for the ole man every day (he's a night worker) and many of the meats for sandwiches are now non-EU origin, as are the ready-meals, cooked chicken portions etc.

Most chicken products seem now to contain chicken from Thailand (but packaged in the UK) and a beef strogonoff contained beef from Namibia. I wondered why we're not buying it from places like America, Canada, Argentina etc. Maybe we are still not 'allowed' to.

I'm more concerned at the chicken products, I've no idea what standards are like in Thailand. So I'm paying more to buy British meats. Hey-ho.

I hadn't heard of that story until just now, but upon reading the premise and summary it would appear that they do have some striking similarities in the last scene.

about detention centres, but yeah I eat loads of chicken. That's messed up as well ain't it.
Most of the Panorama investigations are disturbing. I haven't this one yet, but have read some of the reports on it. I also missed the food one, so will see if it is on catchup or something.
