Just finished FMA:Brotherhood, unbelievable amount of action from start to finish. I rate this higher than Code Gueass, Elfen Lied & Black Lagoon - due to the same high level action stretched to 64-episodes.
Anime derives from Japan, however, in Japan, anything that is a cartoon is pretty much anime.
So, from my point of view, no.
From Japan's def of anime, yes.
Its possible that they will make an anime of Umineko Chiru, but nobody has confirmed anything at this stage. To be honest, I dont think the chances of it are terribly high becasue im told that Umineko DVD's sold really poorly, and thats often the deciding factor.
Might be worth just getting the games instead of crossing your fingers for an anime.

I'm thinking of getting into the Death Note series someday as I heard it is awesome and I see a lot of discussion about it in this thread.
Just wondering, how much is the dvd case these days?
Nearly finished watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It's awesome but I did originally believe it was a light-hearted series with comedy. My mistake; it's pretty dark....
Also, I now know how the SnS light novels end.
The entire box set of death note costs £27 on amazon.
I prefer Higurashi - When seagulls cry though, if you really want something to make you think, watch that.
