My boys got into a Netflix volleyball series with English voice over, the series ended on Netflix so they've gone to an anime site and are now watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles
Gotta be good for them to watch/listen to another language
I forgot Battle Athletes was getting a new animation. The older series were decent. Not a fan of the new art style for it though, so that's already a huge turn off.

Sad to hear that.
I for one never watched the original so ill be giving the first ep at least a try.
Haven't watched any anime in years, but a good friend suggested Demon Slayer to me, and I just finished it. I thoroughly enjoyed almost all of it, and would readily recommend it to anybody who wants to dip their toe back into anime. Hoping they make more! I hear there's a movie floating around somewhere already.
Debating between Cowboy Bebop and Death Note next. If anyone would advise starting with one over another, I'm all ears.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is on my shortlist too.

Yes there is, its called Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train.
It takes place right after the final episode of the first season and they plan on giving it an english dub sometime this year if at all possible.
I have the 2 LE parts of the first season and cant wait for them to release the movie in the west.
Also since you liked Demon Slayer, id suggest giving My Hero Academia a watch as its just as action packed as DS.
Theres currently 4 seasons and 2 movies out for it atm. The 5th season is getting released next month.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is on my shortlist too.
FMA: Brotherhood is probably my most watched show ever.
Near the start of last year when i started to get heavily into anime, i swear i watched it at least 2 dozen+ times.
Its really good and most ppl suggest it over watching the original.
As for Death Note, ive watched that one and have to say, i agree with most ppl that the first half is by far better than the second.
Just a FYI though, theres 35? or so episodes in total so if you want to watch it fully, id suggest not using any of the main sites as for some reason they dont have them all.
Havent watch Cowboy Bebop so cant say anything about that.
@ Draco Burnz: Thanks for the info on the film; here's hoping it gets a dub sooner rather than later. Maybe Netflix will be able to help it along, what with all the effort they seem to be putting into acquiring and pushing anime on their platform.
And thanks for the suggestion as well! Adding it to the list as we speak.

Personally, i hope it doesnt go on Netflix as theres this thing called "Netflix jail" where it only gets released months/years after its initial release.
I mean yes we're already at that point but putting things on Netflix is never a good idea.
One major point is when one of the newest series Beaststars aired in October 2019, but didnt get on Netflix till March 2020.

So IMO, if anything it should go on either Crunchyroll or Funimation. If the first season is anything to go by, it'll go on both.
Also, might i suggest watching Fire Force as well.
Its first season is completely dubbed while its second just got its 21st episode dubbed today.
Theres 24 episodes in both seasons but no word as of yet if theres going to be a third.
Heres the synopsis if you're interested:
Terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo! Possessed by demons, people have begun to burst into flame, leading to the establishment of a special firefighting team: the Fire Force, ready to roll on a moment's notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out. The team is about to get a very unique addition: Shinra, a boy who possesses the unique power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous "devil's footprints" (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it? Or will the city burn to ashes first?
